As a guest of Maison de Sas we will take good care of you. Sas (the name Sas is short for Saskia) loves typical Dutch “gezelligheid” (best translated as ‘cosiness’) and loves being the perfect host. Sas will do anything to make her guests feel at home and offer them a complete and fully organized stay. Sas is a nature lover who enjoys all aspects of life and can advise you about all the beautiful places and area’s in and around the village of Laren.

A mere 25 km from Amsterdam, at the edge of the quiet village of Laren you will encounter a warm, cosy and enchanting cottage called ‘Maison de Sas / Saskia’s Cottage’. This cosy Short Stay cottage is ideal or those who seek comfortable luxury as well as peace and quiet. The rooms at ‘Maison de Sas / Saskia’s Cottage’ are all located on the ground floor and are fully wheelchair, walking-cane and roller friendly.

Enjoy the beautiful nature and environment
There is a lot to be seen and to do in and around Laren: cycling, hiking, swimming, sailing, fishing & angling, playing tennis, (mini)golf and horse riding. For a cultural outing there are many museums to visit, such as the famous Singer Museum in Laren and the Beeld & Geluid (image and sound) museum in Hilversum. There are also many options to simply go shopping or enjoy a lovely meal out. Saskia is happy to advise you accordingly.

For a cultural outing, a visit to the Singer Museum is recommended. Also beautiful is the Basilica of Saint John as are the many charming art galleries in Laren and the surrounding villages.
If you feel like something else, go shopping in beautiful Laren en afterwards relax for a drink or a bite at one of the many terraces and restaurants (such as the famous beefsteak restaurant Loetje ). In the winter months, the centre of Laren is famously decorated with thousands of twinkly lights, there is an open air ice skating rink where you can eat traditional Dutch mini pancakes called ‘poffertjes’.

Maison de Sas (Saskia’s Cottage) is located at Gooiergracht, just 700 metres outside of Laren’s village centre. Saskia’s cottage is just next to the Goyer Golf & Country Club, the horse stables De Stal and the childrens petting zoo Het Spookbos. Maison de Sas (Saskia’s Cottage) is located close to village, also nearby a motorway exit, but still in a quiet and peaceful area close to the woods and open fields, giving it a peaceful and tranquil feeling.
